Spring is here, and it’s the perfect time to refresh your landscape! To help you keep your outdoor space looking pristine, we've put together a Spring Landscape Maintenance Checklist.

Spring Landscape Maintenance Checklist For Florida Zones 9a & 10b


Lawn & Turf Care

- Apply a slow-release, balanced fertilizer.

- Treat for weeds before they take over (use pre-emergent herbicides).

- Check irrigation systems and adjust watering schedules.



Trees & Shrubs

- Prune dead or damaged branches to encourage new growth.

- Trim hedges and shape ornamental shrubs.

- Apply mulch around trees and shrubs to retain moisture.

- Inspect for pests such as scale, aphids, and whiteflies; treat as needed.



Flower Beds & Gardens

- Remove dead annuals and replace with heat-tolerant flowers.

- Add compost or organic matter to enrich soil before planting.

- Monitor for fungal diseases and treat accordingly.



Mulching & Weed Control

- Refresh mulch layers (2-3 inches deep) to prevent weeds.
